The Aggies girls and boys JV and varsity basketball teams travel to Northwood to take on the Hatton-Northwood Thunder. The JV teams will both be playing at 4:30 PM in separate gyms. They will be followed by the varsity girls at 6:00 PM and the varsity boys at 7:30 PM in the main gym.

We want to make all families aware of an online platform called Omegle, which has recently resurfaced in popularity among teens. Although it markets itself as a place to “chat with strangers,” it has no age verification, no content filters, and no safeguards to prevent inappropriate or unsafe interactions.
Students can be matched with anyone, anywhere in the world—often leading to exposure to explicit content, predatory behavior, and unsafe conversations. Even brief use can place students at risk.
What you can do:
* Talk openly with your student about the dangers of chatting with strangers online.
* Check devices for apps or browser history related to Omegle or similar sites.
* Remind students never to share personal information, photos, or social media accounts with people they don’t know.
* Encourage them to come to you or a trusted adult if they ever feel uncomfortable online.

November Students of the Month:
For the month of November, our character focus was "Demonstrate Self Control." Students exhibited self control by learning to pause and think before acting, especially in situations that felt frustrating or distracting. They were able to recognize their emotions, take a moment to breathe, and choose responses that helped them stay focused on their goals. Students demonstrated managing impulses and making thoughtful decisions.
Classroom teachers, along with our Physical Education, Music, and Library teachers, selected students who best demonstrated self control as our November Students of the Month. Congratulations to these outstanding learners for being role models and showing what it means to Demonstrate Self Control at Park River Area Elementary!

The Aggies varsity girls basketball team will open the 2025-2026 season on Thursday, December 4th, as they begin play in the Lake Region Invitational. There opening round opponent will be the North Star Bearcats. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 PM.

NHS Students are staying busy this holiday season!🎄
In addition to our gift wrapping fundraiser, National Honor Society will be hosting a 6th-12th grade Food Drive. Students can bring any non-perishable food items they wish to donate to their assigned classrooms (these are posted around the school).
Participating students from the winning class will be entered for chances to pie a PRAS staff member!

Best of luck to our Aggies one-act play team competing at the 2025 North Dakota Class B One-Act Play State Competition. The Aggies are set to perform their act at 8:50 AM this morning at the Jamestown High School!
Junior high and high school boys basketball will begin on Monday, December 1st. A parent-player meeting will be held that same evening beginning at 6:30 PM in the Park River Area School Commons Area.
We're pumped for tomorrow! Join us for the last showing of The Absolutely Insidious and Utterly Terrifying Truth About Cat Hair tomorrow (Sunday) at 3 pm in the elementary gym!

After a tough loss in the North Dakota Class B Region 2 Championship Match, the Aggies will now have one more unique opportunity to qualify for next week's North Dakota Class B State Volleyball Tournament. Four teams in Class B have already secured a spot in the tournament through last night's region championship matches being played around the state. The Aggies are now one of eight teams that will be fighting for the final four spots in the state tournament.
The state qualifier schedule for the east, which is being played tomorrow in Jamestown, will be as follows:

3:00 PM - Carrington vs Valley City (CLASS A)
5:00 PM - Linton-HMB vs Benson County (CLASS B)
