Park River Area School will run school and buses 2 hours late on Friday, October 27th. Buses will run where possible. There will be no morning ESP.

The Park River Area Elementary School is please to announce another year of the Battle of the Books competition. This week Mrs. Gudmundson is hosting kickoff meetings where permission forms are sent home with students interested in participating. If you have a grade 2-6 student wondering about the competition, encourage them to attend the kickoff meeting on Friday.

JH and HS girls and boys basketball season is quickly approaching. Please make note of the dates and times shown for each level. All student-athletes must have a current physical on file before participating.

School Picture Retake Day

Tonight we recognize our senior student-athletes that participate in the sport of golf and /or volleyball. The recognition will take place immediately following tonight's JV volleyball match.

Upcoming Dates

We will be recognizing our cross country and football seniors before tonight's football game. If you get a chance, stop in the concession stand to see the posters that were made by Mrs. Carlson to honor each of the seniors being recognized. Very nice!



Third grade students sampled different genres of literature and nonfiction texts from classroom libraries with a "Book Tasting" event. This helps students build their appetite for reading and allows them to explore books and genres they might not have tried before.

We will be recognizing our senior cross country runners and football players and managers on Friday, October 13th. The recognition will begin at approximately 6:50pm at the football field. Parents/guardians of these individuals should be at the concession stand by 6:45pm.
