🎬🍎❄️ #ThrowbackThursday – Class of 2025 in 1st Grade! ❄️🍎🎬
Before they were seniors, they were 1st graders making memories that would last a lifetime! 💫
The year kicked off with a movie night on the playground featuring Monster’s Inc.—because nothing brings kids together like laughter under the stars! 🌟 They dove into Pumpkin Math, counting seeds, estimating weight, and learning that math could be messy and fun! 🎃
Apple taste tests turned into serious business as they decided which variety made the best applesauce (we’re still not over that Honeycrisp debate 🍏😄), and winter brought sledding adventures at the golf course that were nothing short of epic. ⛄️
In February, they celebrated Reading Month with the Penguin Olympic Games, filled with snowy-themed challenges and bookish fun. 📚🐧 And who could forget the Technology Fair at the end of the year? Families were invited to a special showcase highlighting the first year of being 1:1 with devices. Students proudly shared their projects and had a blast posing at the photo booth! 💻📸
They explored the outdoors during Homme Dam station day and wrapped up the year with a family potluck on the playground and teachers camping on the playground — s’mores and all! 🏕️
First grade was full of giggles, growing minds, and the beginning of lifelong friendships. Who knew that the little ones sliding down snowbanks would grow into the amazing Class of 2025 we’re so proud of today? 🥹🎓

🌟 Senior Spotlight: Alexis R. 🌟
Meet Alexis R., a proud member of the Park River Area School Class of 2025! 🎓✨
📚 Favorite Elementary School Memory: Alexis loved visiting Mr. Moe’s Farm and the excitement of Mrs. Czymbor’s kindergarten class, especially when Sammy and Sid the snakes went missing! 🐍🔍

🚀 Looking Ahead: Alexis' advice for freshmen? "Give the opportunities a chance. Try anything and everything. It goes by super fast." She hopes to become a teacher but dreams of being a child life specialist! If her high school experience had a soundtrack, it would feature The Climb by Miley Cyrus 🎵, and before big events, she hypes herself up with her Christian playlist.
She'll miss extracurriculars, the teachers who shaped her, and the electric atmosphere of big games like Homecoming and championships. 🏆🏐
Alexis, we are so proud of you! Wishing you the best in your next chapter! 💫 #Classof2025 #SeniorSpotlight #ParkRiverProud

Congratulations, Madison! We’re so proud of you and can’t wait to see what the future holds! 🎓💫 #Classof2025 #SeniorSpotlight #NDSUBound

🤠 #ThrowbackThursday | Class of 2025 Edition 🐍
Before they were seniors... they were cowboy-hat-wearing kindergarteners solving mysteries and busting dance moves!
🎓 The Class of 2025 kicked things off in style with a Cowboy Hoedown at their kindergarten graduation—boots, hats, and all!
🐍 The great mystery of “Who stole Sammy and Sid?”, the class snakes, had everyone on edge—thankfully, the case was cracked just in time!
🥶 Mrs. Coffman’s class made cool memories (literally!) by building an igloo out of milk jugs—a project that brought teamwork and chilly fun to life.
💃 The unforgettable “Dancing with the Teachers” event had everyone smiling, especially when Mrs. Coffman hit the stage with “Stayin’ Alive.”
🚒 Their early adventures included a field trip to the fire station and a visit to Homme Dam, where curiosity and friendship filled the day.
Now they're trading in cowboy boots for caps and gowns! We’re so proud of how far they’ve come. 💙

Pony Pride Was Off the Charts at Park River Area Elementary!
By the first week of April, our Pony Pride total had reached an incredible 29,333! Here's how it all added up:
That came out to about 195 Pony Pride recognitions per school day (29,333 ÷ 150 days)!
And an average of 122 Pony Pride moments per student for the year (29,333 ÷ 240 students)!
These proud moments included both Pony Pride stickers and postcards, celebrating the amazing behavior, kindness, and leadership shown by our elementary students.
To celebrate this incredible achievement, we held a Dance Party on the Playground! A huge thank you to DJ Pick n Roll (Mr. Omdahl) for bringing the energy—and the DJ equipment—to make the celebration extra special.
We’re so proud of our students for their hard work and positive choices. Way to go, PONY PRIDE!
