Grab your fanny packs, Rubik's cubes, and slap bracelets. Plan to do your hair up big (if you still have it), and wear your favorite rock n' roll band shirt (if it still fits). Bring it all to this year's 2025 North Dakota Class B District 3 Boys Basketball Tournament being played at Park River Area High School on Friday, February 28th, Monday, March 3rd, and Tuesday, March 4th.
You can certainly leave your Walkman or iPod at home because as this year's district tournament plays out, the music will certainly be playing on. Come and hear all the upbeat music from the 80's, 90's, and 2000's that will be sure to bring you back to the "Glory Days" that Bruce Springsteen once sang about. Nirvana reminds us that the student sections will certainly "Smell Like Teen Spirit", and Journey says it best. These teams competing "Don't Stop Believing". The only thing better than the music playlist at this year's tournament will be the basketball!
So bring the energy, have some fun, and enjoy watching your team play. District 3 , it's about time to "Get This Party Started"!

📚✨ WOW! What an incredible day of literary battles and bookish brilliance! ✨📚
We just wrapped up our Regional America's Battle of the Books competition last Thursday, and let me tell you—it was a showdown for the ages! Teams from five different schools put their reading skills to the ultimate test, answering questions, recalling details, and proving just how powerful a love of reading can be.
🥇 FIRST PLACE – Titans of Text from Pembina County Homeschool Group! These literary warriors read, strategized, and conquered their way to the top spot!
🥈 SECOND PLACE – Chapter SMACKers from Park River Area! They kept us on the edge of our seats with their knowledge and teamwork.
🥉 THIRD PLACE – Final Chapter from Park River Area! They turned the last page on an amazing competition and landed a well-earned place on the podium!
A HUGE round of applause to all the teams from Cavalier Public School, Valley-Edinburg Public School, Grafton Public School, Pembina County Homeschool Group, and Park River Area School—every single competitor gave it their all, and we couldn't be prouder! 📖👏
This was no easy feat for the five incredible students who read ALL 20 BOOKS! That’s hundreds and hundreds of pages, characters, adventures, and plot twists mastered—an accomplishment worth celebrating! 🎉🎉
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success—coaches, families, and, of course, our phenomenal readers! Keep turning those pages!
Happy reading! 📖🔥
